Personalised Lessons

My name is Simon Edgoose. I've spent my whole life in the music industry, either as a player, demonstrator,

researcher, or teacher.

I'm always being asked if I give lessons, but until now, my travelling has always got in the way. However, I'm now based more at home which allows me to work with students more regularly.

Online Lessons

I'm fully kitted out with a multi camera set up for online lessons on Skype, Zoom or FaceTime, so lock downs are no reason to not play! Call me for more details.

One thing the industry has taught me is that its not just the playing that makes the drummer, its everything - the ability, the understanding, the musicality, and the equipment all have their part to play.

Think of Hands, Head and Feet as a more of an 'all round' approach, hence the name.

I'm only interested in teaching for 'real world' situations - things which will make you a better player in everyday real playing settings,

If you are looking to mindlessly bash out paradiddles, please look elsewhere.

Rather than just following a pre-planned regimented lesson plan, I work by starting on what you think you need to learn, and then gradually filling in the gaps to make you as rounded a player as possible.

If you're a beginner, then I can get you up to speed (your speed) on the basics and then see where you want to go from there.

There's no substitution for playing with music so you'll be playing along to music as much as possible.
